Employer Resources Q&A

Why do I need employer resources?

Employer resources include medical services you may need as an employee or that your employer requires you to get. You may need employer resources if you:

  • Are starting a new job
  • Were injured on the job
  • Are signing up for health or life insurance
  • Need to maintain your commercial driver’s license (CDL)

MEDHERO Advanced Urgent Care and Wellness Center also provides comprehensive employment drug screenings right in the clinic.

Which type of employer resources exam do I need?

The team at MEDHERO Advanced Urgent Care and Wellness Center partners with employers to ensure employees receive the medical care and evaluations they need. You can request any of the following employer resources (to name a few):

  • Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals
  • Workers’ compensation evaluations
  • Vaccines and immunizations
  • Pre-employment screenings

MEDHERO Advanced Urgent Care and Wellness Center practitioners also provide any required physical exams employees need in order to maintain their positions.

How do I prepare for an employer resources appointment?

Before your employer resources appointment at MEDHERO Advanced Urgent Care and Wellness Center, it’s important to ensure you have all the essential paperwork from your employer. Your physician needs to perform certain tests and screenings and fill out the employer paperwork. It’s also helpful to:

  • Write down your medications and dosages, including over-the-counter drugs
  • Drink plenty of fluids before providing a urine sample
  • Bring in the incident report if an injury took place
  • Make a list of questions or concerns

If you need blood work as part of your employer physical, you may need to avoid eating, drinking, or taking certain medications beforehand. When you book your appointment, just ask the team if you need to fast before your lab visit.

The dedicated practitioners at MEDHERO Advanced Urgent Care and Wellness Center have extensive experience performing a wide variety of employer resources services. With an onsite lab and radiology department, the expert practitioners can help with any employer medical solutions you need.
